Three businesses get Muscatine’s forgivable modest small business financial loans | Area

MUSCATINE – Three Muscatine corporations will get a $25,000 modest organization forgivable personal loan as part of the city’s new Little Business enterprise Forgivable Bank loan method.

Meg’s Classic Collective, 122 West 2nd Avenue, Purple & Lee Vintage, 124 West 2nd Street and A&G Goods, 500 Mulberry Avenue obtained the financial loans.

A fourth small business will be named once its operator returns from an out-of-town trip.

The method is for “building improvements to present corporations and startup prices involved with the generation of a new company,” especially individuals in the downtown space.

“The city’s ongoing Smaller Business Forgivable Personal loan method started in 2015,” explained Local community Progress Director Jodi Royal-Goodwin. “With these four businesses, there have now been 30 financial loans provided via the plan. Financial loan purposes are reviewed as they are acquired and right up until resources are expended every single year.”
